Costa Coffee is a British coffeehouse chain started by two brothers, Sergio and Bruno Costa, in 1971.
The brothers taste-tested 112 variations of coffee before deciding on the one to be Costa Coffee’s signature blend. They named this blend ‘Mocha Italia’ and it remains unchanged to this day. Costa Coffee is the first UK coffee shop chain to commit to sourcing 100% of their coffee and cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.
